About the Client
Our client is a premium USA based financial services firm providing tailored financial forecasting and strategic insights. Working directly under the Director of Accounting, you will oversee financial and accounting activities for various clients as well as the company; ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment with client and company objectives. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and present financial data effectively.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management
  • Oversee accounting for client engagements, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and compliance.
  • Manage monthly close to ensure accurate and strategic transaction recording for financial reporting.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).
  • Maintain and improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Project Accounting
  • Monitor and manage project financials, including budgets, revenue recognition, and costs.
  • Track project cash flow, address trends, and resolve potential issues proactively.
  • Analyze and report project profitability.
  • Oversee invoicing, expense allocation, and timely payment collection for projects.
• Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Lead or assist with budgeting and forecasting for client entities, aligning with business goals.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Compliance and Auditing
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including GAAP.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and extaernal audits as required by client scopes of work.
• Cash Flow and Treasury Management
  • Manage cash flow to optimize resources and support project purchasing for milestone requirements.
• Team Leadership
  • Mentor and lead the finance team.
• Strategic Contributions
  • Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute financial strategies.
  • Support evaluation of potential investments, acquisitions, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or financial management, with 4 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities.
