Position summary
Our Partner helps Real Estate Agents sell more homes. They do this through the application of the company’s proprietary Selling System that starts at the top of the funnel, delivers qualified Leads to our Agent customers, and provides back-office support to cover the Lead and close a Transaction.
Our partner’s approach is extremely data driven and the entire company Leadership and Management rely on detailed reporting and insights to help make good business decisions. As our partners Data Engineer, you will have a critical role to play in the company’s growth and success.
Day-to-day responsibilities
- Working directly with key stakeholders (mostly leadership) to convert business needs and objectives into usable reports.
- Understanding the underlying data and data models in place as primary data sources and how they map onto the US Real Estate industry and our Partner’s business model.
- Identifying any gaps or changes needed in the data and data model(s) to deliver the required reports and insights.
- Setting up any ETL required to populate the data warehouse from the transactional data sources.
- Building detailed reports in Power BI.
Necessary qualification and abilities
- Very strong and demonstrated track record building Microsoft Power BI reports and visualizations.
- Very strong MySQL or PostgreSQL query skills.
- Knowledge of Google BigQuery or other similar data warehouse solutions.
- Knowledge of ETL tools like Airbyte or Airflow.
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking
- Very strong command of English with the ability to talk “business” with stakeholders and “technical” with Engineering team.
- Become deeply familiar with the US real estate industry and with our partner’s specific business model. Training on these will be provided directly by members of the leadership team.
